<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">As a DevOps CI/CD Engineer, you’ll work on the build and CI/CD systems that enable Wayve’s engineering teams to develop, test, and release software efficiently and reliably. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You’ll help make our pipelines faster, more scalable, more secure, and easier for engineers to use. You’ll work closely with software engineers across the business to understand workflow pain points, troubleshoot complex build and pipeline issues, and deliver infrastructure and tooling improvements that have a direct impact on engineering productivity. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to deepen your expertise across CI/CD infrastructure, build systems, developer experience, automation, and operational best practices.</span></p>
<h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></span></h1>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and build infrastructure across development, testing, and release workflows.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Improve build performance, reliability, and scalability, including caching, dependency management, incremental builds, and reproducible builds.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Develop tooling and automation that improves developer workflows and reduces build and test feedback times.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Operate and scale CI infrastructure, including build agents, runners, artifact storage, and supporting services.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot build and pipeline failures, working with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Contribute to the evolution of Wayve’s CI/CD architecture, security, and operational practices as engineering workloads scale.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience and support efficient software delivery.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Take part in a team on-call rotation, providing out-of-hours support for critical systems when required.</span></li>
</ul>
<h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Essential skills</strong></span></h2>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">3+ years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, CI/CD, developer infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related engineering role. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or significantly improving CI/CD pipelines and automation systems. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Buildkite, Azure DevOps, or similar. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with build tooling and concepts such as dependency management, caching, incremental builds, artifact management, and reproducible builds. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong experience working with Linux, Git, and shell scripting. Programming or scripting experience using Python, Bash, Go, or similar. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in complex build, pipeline, or infrastructure environments. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with engineering teams to improve developer workflows.</span></li>
</ul>
<h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Desirable skills</strong></span></h2>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience operating CI infrastructure at scale, including runners, agents, distributed build systems, or self-hosted CI environments. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, Kubernetes, or infrastructure-as-code. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Exposure to security best practices in CI/CD environments, including secrets management, dependency security, and pipeline hardening. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience improving developer experience or internal platform tooling. </span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience supporting software delivery in complex engineering environments, such as robotics, autonomous systems, machine learning, or large-scale software platforms.</span></li>
