Build real tax experience and shape your future career
Programme overview
On the Tax Summer Internship, you’ll shape the future with confidence through a four-week insight into day-to-day work in Tax. You’ll see how we help clients navigate complex regulations and adapt to a world shaped by AI and technology. You’ll gain hands-on skills, take on a group cross-sub-service line case study, and experience a dynamic career in Tax.
Core skills for success
Curiosity and motivation – Ask questions and build your understanding of how Tax works in real business scenarios across different organisations.
Collaboration – Work as part of a team, building relationships as you contribute to client work and a group case study.
Analytical thinking – Make sense of financial information and client data to support tax work and identify risks or inconsistencies.
Adaptability – Stay organised and flexible as you balance tasks, learning sessions and case study deadlines during a fast-paced programme.
Ownership and accountability – Deliver accurate work you can stand behind, taking feedback on board to improve quality and confidence.
Digital, Data and AI Fluency – Use technology and data in a practical way to support how tax work is delivered and solutions are developed.
What you will be doing
Support teams with real client work by preparing and checking information that feeds into tax deliverables and risk considerations.
Learn how Tax impacts organisations and society, including how we advise on tax affairs, tax risk policies, sustainability strategies and the use of technology in delivery.
Work in a group to complete a structured case study over the programme, applying research and problem‑solving to a realistic business scenario.
Develop quickly through on‑the‑job feedback and end‑of‑programme assessment conversations, with the opportunity to fast‑track to the Graduate Programme if you perform well.
Please note: Due to UK policies, you must be based in the UK for the entire duration of the programme.
