Product Owner - International Payments

On behalf of NatWest, we are looking for a Product Owner- International Payments for a 6-month contract . The role can be based in Manchester and follows a hybrid model, with 2 days per week in office. Purpose of the role: Lead and prioritise international payments change initiatives, translating customer, business, operational, and regulatory requirements into a clear product roadmap and deliverable backlog. Working closely with technology, operations, risk, compliance, and key stakeholders, you will ensure solutions are delivered effectively, compliantly, and with a focus on customer outcomes. What you'll do: Own and prioritise the international payments product backlog and change portfolio. Gather and translate business, customer, operational, and regulatory requirements into actionable user stories. Collaborate with technology, operations, risk, compliance, and external partners to deliver payment enhancements. Manage dependencies, sequencing, and stakeholder engagement to support successful delivery. Ensure solutions improve customer experience, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance. Support governance The skills you'll need: Proven experience as a Product Owner within International Payments. Strong knowledge of cross-border payments, payment schemes, and commercial payments propositions. Experience working with agile delivery teams and managing product backlogs. Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions. Strong understanding of regulatory and operational considerations within banking and payments. Experience within retail or commercial banking environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of payment transformation and digital payments initiatives.
