Reporting to the Director of Technology Risk &amp; CRC Strategy, you will lead technology risk management and governance initiatives, develop a growing team of risk SMEs, and drive a modern, data-led and automation-first approach to risk management. The successful candidate will work across technology, security, assurance and business teams to ensure risks are identified, assessed, communicated and managed effectively.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you'll be doing:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and maturity of WPP’s technology risk management framework and processes.</li> <li>Facilitate risk assessments, scenario analysis and risk-based decision making across Enterprise Technology.</li> <li>Maintain technology risk registers, issue management processes and remediation tracking.</li> <li>Produce high-quality management reporting, dashboards and risk insights for senior stakeholders.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement through automation, workflow optimisation, analytics and agentic AI.</li> <li>Partner with Enterprise Security, Cluster-aligned Risk &amp; Controls team, Controls Assurance, Internal Audit, and Legal teams to improve risk visibility and control effectiveness.</li> <li>Provide pragmatic challenge and guidance to risk and control owners.</li> <li>Lead the development of WPP’s Data &amp; Technology Controls framework, and technology governance artefacts.</li> <li>Support strategic initiatives including ET transformation programmes, mergers, acquisitions and divestments, and organisational governance changes.</li> <li>Recruit, lead, coach and develop a high-performing Technology Risk team across India and the UK.</li> <li>Establish effective operating rhythms, quality standards and performance expectations for the function.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you'll need:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Strong experience in Technology Risk, IT Risk, Cyber Risk, Technology Governance, Assurance or IT Audit.</li> <li>Experience operating within large, complex or multinational technology environments.</li> <li>Strong understanding of technology controls, ITGCs, cloud technologies, infrastructure, identity, service management and resilience.</li> <li>Demonstrable experience developing risk reporting and leadership insight.</li> <li>Ability to simplify complex technical and risk-related topics for diverse audiences.</li> <li>Proven experience leading and developing teams.</li> <li>Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.</li> <li>Experience improving processes through automation, analytics, workflow platforms or AI-enabled approaches.</li> <li>Comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on when required.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Who you are:</strong></span></p> <p><strong>You're open<em>:</em> </strong>We are inclusive and collaborative; we encourage the free exchange of ideas; we respect and celebrate diverse views.
