About the role

Intercompany Finance Transformation Consultant  Career level: Associate Manager (CL8) | Location: London / Manchester / Edinburgh | Practice: Finance Reinvention Partner (SAP / BlackLine)  Why this role  Intercompany is one of the most intricate parts of a finance transformation, and this is where you build real expertise in it. You'll work on large-scale finance transformation programmes — across SAP, BlackLine or comparable platforms — helping design how intercompany accounting works and holds together through the close, sitting with the client's finance team and seeing the design through to go-live. You'll grow quickly, on real programmes, alongside people who architect this work for a living.  Accenture is a leading solutions and services company. Our strategy is to be the reinvention partner of choice for our clients and to lead in the safe, widespread adoption of AI. We bring together our people, deep industry expertise and technology to deliver end-to-end outcomes for clients — and Finance is one of seven Reinvention Partners at the centre of that. Finance RP brings the CFO agenda to life for clients — stronger performance, sharper insight, and better control.  "Our clients want a partner that can help them reinvent—boldly, continuously and at speed… while continuously building the most client-focused, AI-enabled great place to work for our people—our Reinventors." — Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO  What you'll bring  Intercompany expertise. Genuine understanding of intercompany accounting — cross-company postings, intercompany AR/AP, invoicing, clearing, netting and settlement, and intercompany close and reconciliation. You can turn transfer-pricing policy into workable finance processes, and you understand how enterprise structure — company codes, controlling areas, profit centres — shapes intercompany design and reporting. This is the capability we're really looking for; the platform matters less than the intercompany judgement you bring.  Finance process knowledge. Solid Record-to-Report understanding around the close, and a clear view of how intercompany connects to group reporting and consolidation. You understand chart-of-accounts and enterprise structure well enough to see how intercompany flows land in the numbers.  Platform familiarity. Exposure to intercompany on one of the platforms we deliver on — SAP S/4HANA Finance, BlackLine (Intercompany, and close and controls automation), or comparable finance technology. Depth on one with the curiosity to work across others is exactly right at this level; we don't expect all of them.  Delivery and client skills. You own your scope and follow it through, and you support the workstream and the design authority around you — contributing to design decisions rather than owning them yet, and flagging risks within your scope early. You're comfortable running workshops and status discussions, managing client expectations and timelines, and building credible relationships with finance, tax and treasury stakeholders. You bring structured, analytical problem-solving and communicate clearly under pressure.  Ways of working. We're increasingly an AI-first delivery team — bringing agentic tooling and orchestration into how we design, analyse and validate, with our people owning the judgement and the outcome. If you already work this way, that's a real plus, and we're keen to hear from people bringing that experience. Who you are  You take ownership and follow through. You work well in a team and build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, and you're comfortable coordinating finance, tax and treasury perspectives. You bring good judgement and critical thinking to ambiguous problems, and you're clear and considered in how you make and explain decisions. You're early in your trajectory and set on building the rest.  Things that set strong candidates apart: hands-on experience delivering intercompany and transfer-pricing work on complex, multi-entity or multi-country programmes; exposure across more than one platform (SAP, BlackLine or comparable); an awareness of how group reporting, consolidation and controls shape an intercompany design; and a professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent industry experience).  If you have most of this and the drive to build the rest, we want to hear from you — tell us what you'd bring.  About Finance RP  Within Accenture, the Finance Reinvention Partner helps clients improve financial performance around the CFO agenda — driving best-in-class performance, and sharper insight and benchmarking across the enterprise. In the UK and Ireland, our Finance RP practice brings together finance strategy and the platforms it runs on, including SAP, Oracle, Workday and EPM.  You'd join our Platforms transformation offering within the practice: a growing team delivering large-scale, business-led finance transformations across SAP, BlackLine and comparable platforms, and building AI into how we deliver. It's a place to go deep on intercompany finance while staying close to the CFO agenda the work serves.  What's in it for you  Alongside a competitive salary and package (dependent on experience), you'll have an extensive benefits package including 25 days' holiday a year, private medical insurance, and 3 additional days' leave a year for charitable work of your choice.  Accenture is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of society.  Closing date: 28/02/2027. Accenture reserves the right to close the role earlier should a suitable applicant be found.  #LI-EU About Accenture Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services—creating tangible value at speed and scale.
