System Test Engineer

Want to be part of a team transforming healthcare? We are looking for a collaborative System Test Engineer to take on testing of our 3D X-ray imaging systems, from software builds to the complete system, and to help shape how verification works across our medical and industrial products. Working within the Engineering team, you will get to know our existing automated and manual testing, help bring it together and contribute to our verification strategy. You will be hands-on in writing and running tests, extending the test harness and verifying releases, and over time take on more responsibility for what we verify at each level, how it traces to requirements and risk, and what "ready to release" means for a product on the market under design controls. We are looking for someone who enjoys testing hardware and software together, wants to understand what verification in a regulated industry demands, and is keen to grow into a broader role. You will help raise the standard of testing across the engineering team. The Company Medical imaging helps patients by enabling early and accurate diagnosis. However, 2D X-rays can be inconclusive as they give a fundamentally limited view of our 3D bodies. 3D images are possible with CT scanners but these are much more expensive, give a higher dose of radiation and moving a critically ill patient to a scanner can be labour-intensive and risky. At Adaptix we are helping make 3D imaging more accessible to the people who need it by producing mobile flat-panel X-ray systems that can be brought to patients - giving low-cost, low-dose imaging. Candidate Profile As our ideal candidate, you will have a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, along with demonstrable professional experience in testing systems that combine hardware and software, or a clear eagerness to learn.
