The role works closely with Business Analysts, Salesforce Developers, Product Owners, and Delivery Teams to validate business requirements and ensure successful delivery of Salesforce functionality across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related integrations. What you'll be doing: Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Strategy Review business, functional, and technical requirements. Define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria. Estimate testing effort and support delivery planning activities. Functional Testing Execute manual testing of Salesforce applications and customisations. Validate standard Salesforce functionality and configured processes. Test custom Apex developments, Lightning Components, Flows, and integrations. Verify end-to-end business processes across multiple systems. Ensure all requirements are fully validated before release. Integration Testing Test integrations between Salesforce and external applications. Validate data flows, API integrations, middleware, and third-party systems. Verify data accuracy, consistency, and error handling. Support system integration testing (SIT) activities. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support business stakeholders during UAT execution. Support on the UAT test scripts and business scenarios. Assist users in defect identification and validation. Coordinate retesting and sign-off activities. Defect Management Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution. Perform root cause analysis of identified issues. Work closely with Salesforce Developers and Administrators to resolve defects. Re-test fixes and validate successful resolution. Report defect trends and testing progress. Regression Testing Maintain and execute regression test packs. Ensure new releases do not adversely impact existing functionality. Support release and deployment activities through regression validation. Test Automation Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts where applicable. Utilise tools such as, Provar Contribute to continuous improvement of automated testing capabilities. Environment & Release Support Participate in deployment readiness reviews. Validate pre-production and production releases. Support smoke testing following deployments. Work with Environment Managers and Release Managers to ensure test environment readiness. Reporting & Governance Produce regular test status reports and JIRA. Provide clear visibility of testing progress, risks, and issues. Maintain testing documentation in line with organisational standards. Stakeholder Management Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Salesforce Administrators. Collaborate with Salesforce Developers to resolve defects and technical issues. Support business users throughout testing cycles. Communicate testing progress, risks, and blockers to project and delivery stakeholders. Escalate testing risks or quality concerns that may impact delivery timelines. What experience you'll bring: Skills & Experience Essential Experience testing Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud). Strong understanding of Salesforce functionality and configuration. Experience creating and executing test plans, test scripts, and test cases. Knowledge of Agile methodologies. Experience with defect management tools such as Jira Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Experience with Salesforce Lightning Experience. Knowledge of Salesforce APIs and integrations. Experience with automated testing tools (Provar) Understanding of Salesforce Flows, Apex, and custom development. Salesforce certifications such as: Salesforce Certified Administrator Salesforce Business Analyst Salesforce Platform App Builder Salesforce Certified AI Associate Key Deliverables Test Scenarios and Test Cases Defect Logs and Reports Regression Test Packs UAT Scripts and Sign-off Documentation Release Validation Reports Test Completion Reports Success Measures High defect detection rate during testing phases. Successful completion of UAT and release activities. Reduction in production defects. Delivery of quality Salesforce solutions aligned to business requirements. Stakeholder satisfaction with testing quality and delivery outcomes. Compliance with organisational testing and governance standards.
